Ribera del Duero Roble Wine Protos

- Grape Varieties: 100% Tempranillo
- Origin: Peñafiel (Valladolid)
- Vineyards: Blend of different plots to achieve an expression of our terroirs in the wines. Vineyards about 25 years old.
- Serve at 12ºC to 16ºC
- Aging: 6 months in French and American oak barrels. 6 months in bottle.
Tasting Notes:
- Color: Cherry red with purple rim
- Nose: Honest and intense, highlighting aromas of red and black fruit accompanied by spicy notes and light toasting.
- Palate: Good structure, fruity, fresh, with a sweet passage, balanced, and with very pleasant soft tannins.
Pairing:
- Rice and pasta, chicken and poultry, veal, mushrooms, cold cuts, grilled meats, lamb, pork, semi-cured cheeses.
This Protos is a young wine made 100% with the Tinta del País grape variety, aged for 6 months in American oak barrels before being bottled for another 6 months. In terms of tasting, it is a fruity wine with a lot of character, where the nuances of traditional aging can be appreciated. It has red berry notes, with an intense and fruity flavor, and is a very versatile wine with freshness. Its color is cherry red with a purple rim, clean and bright.
Among its characteristics are that it comes from vineyards less than 25 years old and the harvest is manual.
